I was recently asked if I was interested in reviewing the Denise2Go interchangeable set that Yarncanada carries in their online shop.
To be honest I was a bit hesitant at first. I have my favourite knitting needles and I don’t usually stray from them especially as the Denise kit needles are plastic so I decided to give the crochet set a go.
The set comes with 6 hooks from size 5mm up to a 9mm but if you notice in the picture the hook length is on the shorter side. That is because this is actually an interchangeable Tunisian Crochet set that also can be used as regular hooks.
I have yet to try Tunisian crochet so at the minute I will be using these solely as regular hooks. I thought the short hooks would bother me when I first got started but they are actually quite convenient. I don’t have to worry about the end of my hook getting caught in yarn and my hand adjusted to the different length in no time.
As well as the hooks you get 3 varied lengths of cable, a 3 inch, a 5 inch and a 9 inch. It also comes with an extender with the option of joining 2 cables together and 2 end buttons so you don’t loose your stitches.
The coolest part about this set for me was that it fits on the palm of your hand. Perfect for travel and “on the go” as the set is called. I love that I can chuck this into a small project bag and have everything I need right at my finger tips to crochet my heart out. I can definitely see me taking this in the car with a couple of skeins of yarn to make some squares or my newest obsession Hexies!!
I would say I am pleasantly surprised by this set and at the price point of $52 plus free shipping from YarnCanada it would make a fabulous pressie or stocking stuffer for the crocheter in your life.

My friend Sally sent me some of her leftover Berroco Vintage yarn. I knew I wanted to do a hexagonal blanket with them but wasn’t really sure how I was going to do it. I checked out Bella Coco on You Tube, my trusty crochet how to’er and found the granny hexagon. I already knew how to granny so adapting it into a hexagon was a breeze. She also shares the join as you go method which makes me feel less overwhelmed at putting all those hexagons together at the ve3ry end. I’m not exactly sure if this will be a full blanket or a lap blanket or what just yet. I am still wondering if I should add in other colours or just keep it to three. Who knows maybe T will claim it when she gets home.
Now I must be off to crochet a few more!
