Sock mystery
My TTL mystery socks are well under way.
With clue one complete I’m excited for what clue two will bring. If they are anything like last years socks they will be amazing! There`s still plenty of time to join in, you can find the first clue here at Kirsten`s. blog.
Monika gave me the heads up that Michaels had Patons Classic Wool in again. After discontinuing the older version Patons Classic Merino Wool they replaced it with the now Patons Classic Wool. It’s the only place around here to get it so i’m glad its back in stock with new colours. While browsing the new selection I came across the cutest pattern booklet.
Paton’s has a new sock monkey booklet out that is so cute I just couldn’t leave it behind. There are knit as well as crochet monkey’s, colourful striped monkey’s and even some clothes and accessories for them. I picked up two colours to make the basic monkey, add that to the red skein I already have and I’m ready to get knitting.
There may be a sock monkey family in Tadpole’s future.

Oh I like those mystery socks. They look really stretchy, which I like and my biggest complaint with hand-knit socks is they aren’t stretchy enough.
I’ve done mystery shawls before, but never socks. But I”m determined that I’m finishing Elizabeth before casting anything new on.

I’m eagerly awaiting the next clue too, need to take pics of my socks. The yarn came Friday and I got started straight away, had the first one done that night! Can’t wait to see your monkey!!

Gasp! Patons has a sock money booklet? I must have one! I wonder if our stores carry it?

Ooohhh, I’m jealous. I’m *that* close to finishing a sweater and have resisted casting on… perhaps tonight, if I’m lucky. So the big question — is the last clue coming out BEFORE Tadpole’s expected arrival date??? I wonder if you can get a Tadpole delivery exemption and receive the clues early… that should cause a riot in the knitosphere!

I might have to pick up that booklet. I saw it somewhere online and didn’t know Michael’s carried it.
You are tempting me to join in this sock knitting. A woman in my knitting group started hers tonight at knitting night.

This is such a promising start of the socks that I immediately decided to join the mystery socks kal, too. the colour you chose is gorgeous.
