Business Casual KAL

Well that was pretty much unanimous and I am very excited with the choice.

We will be casting on for Business Casual by Tanis Lavallee. I’ve been wanting to knit these since Tanis posted this as a free pattern.

This is a great unisex pattern so if you don’t want to knit these for yourself I’m sure there is someone who will love them. Early christmas or birthday gift perhaps?

We’ll be casting on 4th February 2013 and casting off 25th March 2013 so you will have 8 weeks to complete the socks if you want to be entered in for the prize.

What is the prize you may ask??

Well the lovely Tanis is generously donating a skein of her Blue Label Fingering Weight in the Atlantic colourway as seen in the pictures. *swoon*

I’m doing things a bit differently this time as far as sign ups go.

If you want to join the KAL please enter your info in the link below.

I found it hard to keep track of everyone last time so hopefully this will make my life easier.

Head on over and download your copy of Business Casual. I’d love to hear what yarn you are going to knit yours with!

I’ll join through the link when my kid finally gets off the darn computer!!!!

  2. These socks have been in my queue since I saw the pattern. I think I will knit them with handpainted yarn Tempted in the Dreamy colorway.

  3. Fun! I think I’ll use my Tanis (In The Navy.) Looking forward to it – off to cake up my yarn!

  4. So excited about this! I’m thinking about using Cascade Heritage Sock in a dark grey (the colourway is called charcoal).

  5. I’m in! Now to pick through the stash.

I’m flying along with the Abate test, so I should be ready to cast on with everyone!

  6. I’m in this time!
8 weeks is plenty of time and it gives me a chance to finish off what I want to finish before casting this on.

    Thanks for starting the KAL.

  7. Count me in. This is so exciting 😉 I haven’t taken part in a KAL for so long and I am so looking forward to this one. Love these socks. And the best: enough time to finish the socks I am currently knitting on, then diving into my stash to find some lovely yarn for the Business Casual!

  8. I’m ready! I’ve had this favorited for a while. I plan on using Regia in the Mirage Caribbean colorway. Setting everything up so I will be ready to go.

  10. I’m in but I’m not sure if I can focus on the sock knitting because I have baby projects on the go and we’ll be away on holidays for a couple of weeks. No matter, I love the pattern and it will be a good push for me to knit them.

  11. I’ve Linked Up and ready to cast on!!!!!!

There’s a skein of Malabrigo sock yarn just ready to get down to business

  12. This will be my first KAL, although I followed with Aidez I never signed up. I will be using crock o dye from the stash so excited!

  13. This is just the sort of simple design I could use for relaxed knitting, while finishing up my cabled pullover. I think I’ll use some of my TFA stash for this one, maybe the Grapefruit…

  15. I am so excited to join this KAL. I made a pair of Business Casual socks for myself a few months ago and they are my absolute favourite to wear. Proportions, pattern, fit – lovely. I recently ordered a set of Signature 2.25mm dpns for sock knitting. I will use those needles and the yarn that came with the kit I ordered for this project. Fingers crossed the colourway, Pleasant Prairie, turns out to be a good match with this pattern. Happy knitting!

  16. I’m new to your blog and found out about the KAL as I’ve just downloaded the pattern. Count me in! I’ll be using one of my Tanis Blue Label 2011 club colours in Aquarium.

  17. Yay!!!! I’m so excited about this! I’ll be using some nice grey On Your Toes yarn that will hopefully show the pattern really well!

  21. O.K. after thinking long and hard, I’m IN too. I’m knitting socks anyway, so why not join the KAL. I’m going to use Wandering Cat Yarns, colorway still to be decided.

  22. Count me in. It’s my first KAL and I’m very excited :) Can’t quite tell, which yarn I’m using… I lost the label. But it’s a blue print! It’s good timing though, my boyfriend needs new socks anyway.
